Reconstruction Nearly Complete At Somerset County Care Home

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- One year after a lightning strike sparked a massive fire at a Somerset County apartment complex, work to rebuild is nearly complete.The blaze destroyed most of the residential armaments at Laurel View Village Personal Care Home near Davidsville.Many residents who were displaced by the fire have been living in temporary housing or staying with loved ones.Inspectors visited the site Monday to examine the new construction. Laurel View officials said once they receive their permit, residents can begin moving back in.
