Brookville police are investigating a case of embezzlement at a borough business.

They've arrested Deborah Geyer, 45, of Forest County.

Police said Geyer stole almost $80,000 over seven years at Laurel Eye Clinic.

Geyer worked as a patient account manager.

Police said she didn't record checks in the accounting books but deposited them for herself.

Geyer is now in the Jefferson County Jail.

She faces several charges, including theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen propery, tampering with records and forgery.
