Spikes Lose Big To Jammers

The Jamestown Jammers hit five home runs last night in two innings to give them a 13-4 victory over the Spikes at Russell Diethrick Park.

The Spikes took a one-run lead with a lead-off single from Cole White followed by a Calvin Anderson single which scored White.  White's hit extended his hitting streak to 16 games.

The Spikes increased their lead in the second innings with singles from Chase d'Arnaud, Quincy Latimore, and Mark Carver.  Jamestown took the lead in the bottom of the second after hitting three home runs off of Spikes' starting pitcher Kyle McPherson.  Jamestown also hit two more home runs in the third inning.

The Spikes scored their final run of the game in the fourth inning with singles from Latimoe and Carver.

Jamestown scored three runs in the sixth and eighth innings, making the final score 13-4.

The Spikes travel to Lowell to take on the Spinners tomorrow.  The first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
