Sept. 1st - Spikes Lose To Batavia 13-0

The Batavia Muckdogs had a pair of home runs and 12 hits to defeat the State College Spikes 13-0 on Labor Day.  The Spikes had only three hits in the game.

Batavia's Shane Peterson had a two-run home run in the first inning to give the Muckdogs an early lead.  Batavia added four more runs in the fourth inning to take a 6-0 lead.  The Muckdogs scored three more runs in the sixth inning and also scored more runs in the ninth inning.

The Spikes used six pitchers in the game.  Starter Brian Leach was the losing pitcher of the game.  He allowed six runs (five earned), on five hits and three walks.

The Spikes play Batavia Tuesday, September 2nd at 7:05 p.m. at Medlar Field.
