Penn State football will open the 2020 season with a 3:30 ET kick in Bloomington, the Big Ten announcing all Week 1 game times on Monday morning.
Penn State's clash with Indiana was the only Nittany Lion game to have an announced start time despite the conference releasing a few future kick times as well.
The game will air on FS1, marking just the fifth appearance by the program on the network and the 294th regular season game to be televised since 1995.
Monday's news comes on the heels of an ongoing wait for kick times following the league's recently announced schedule. While Penn State's Week 1 meeting against the Hoosiers will land on a Saturday, there was a slight possibility that the Nittany Lions could have seen that game shifted to a Friday night affair.
While most eyes are likely fixed on Penn State's Week 2 meeting against Ohio State, the Nittany Lions will likely have their hands full with a pesky Indiana team to open the season. The Hoosiers have won just once in the past seven meetings but five of those other games have been decided by six or fewer points.
The sixth game was a 14-point Penn State win, with Indiana leading in the fourth quarter.
In the team's last meeting, quarterback Sean Clifford was responsible for three touchdowns and running back Journey Brown rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown to lead No. 9 Penn State to a 34-27 win over the No. 24 Hoosiers at Beaver Stadium.
