Another otherwise uneventful Signing Day wasn't without some good news for Penn State as the Nittany Lions reeled in offensive tackle Rasheed Walker on Wednesday.
Walker is a four-star prospect according to the 247 Network hailing out of Waldorf, MD. The 6-foot-6, 290 pound tackle was down to Penn State and Ohio State for his final two choices but had received offers from the likes of Arizona State, Virginia Tech and Duke among others.
Walker is rated the 65th best prospect in the 2018 class and 6th best offensive tackle by the 247 Network.
Penn State now has four offensive line prospects signed to the 2018 class, the Nittany Lions locked up 22 recruits during the early signing period back in December. As a result the secondary signing period that begins today is expected to be a routine day aside from a few lingering prospects like Walker who waited to commit.
The Nittany Lions' recruiting haul is ranked second best in the Big Ten and No.5 in the nation by the 247 Network, a ranking that could change in either direction by the end of the day due to news around the country. Either way, James Franklin and his staff have continued their recruiting trail momentum for yet another year.
