Penn State football had a good Signing Day finishing off the class as the fourth ranked haul in the nation, but couldn't complete a legacy recruitment as Solomon Enis committed to Utah on Wednesday.
Enis is the son of former Nittany Lion running back Curtis Enis. The four-star, 6-foot-4 receiver was favored to end up with the Utes and is the 40th rated receiver in the nation.
He had been recruited primarily by west coast schools including Arizona, Arizona State and California. Enis officially visited Penn State in mid November.
All told Penn State looks to have likely finished off its 2018 haul with 23 commitments, and a rating second best in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions added the services of OT Rasheed Walker earlier in the day to round out the class.
Penn State's class is currently ranked No.4 in the nation by the 247 Network. The class took a small hit as longtime Penn State commit Shaquon Anderson-Butts will instead go the junior college route in Iowa.
