Penn State has dropped to No. 5 in both the AP and Coaches Polls this week following a 33-14 win over Pitt but a busy day around the top 10 in college football.
The move down one spot is the result of two wins -- No. 6 Oklahoma's impressive defeat of No. 2 Ohio State and No. 5 USC's win over No. 14 Stanford. As a result the top 5 in both polls sits with Alabama atop the rankings followed by Clemson, Oklahoma and USC ahead of the Nittany Lions.
Around the rest of the Big Ten, the former No. 2 team in the nation fell to No.8/9 as Ohio State looks to regroup following the loss. Michigan moved up from No. 8 to No. 7 while Wisconsin sits just outside the top 10 at No. 12.
