Students in Haiti: A group of a dozen Penn State students spent their spring break helping to rebuild Haiti and Haitians' spirits. The Daily Collegian spoke to some of these students, who slept in tents and ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch every day, and whose lives are forever changed.
School Board: The State College School Board is set to vote tonight on the 2010-2011 academic calendar. One proposed plan shares one day of spring break with Penn State; the other shares two. Check StateCollege.com for the results tomorrow.
Luna2: The owner of Faccia Luna will be opening another restaurant on East College Avenue by the end of the month, The Centre Daily Times reported.
Drink Tax: State College Mayor Elizabeth Goreham is among those in support of a drink tax, The Daily Collegian reported. The tax would be a 10-percent increase for poured alcoholic beverages.
