A Blair County manufacturer and the U.S. Military are teaming up for a good cause.

NPC, a printing company based in Claysburg, has joined the Army’s National Partnership for Youth Success Program. That means the company will work to employ former or current members of the military who are in need of a job.

The company currently has about 500 workers and says it’s always looking to add qualified people to its workforce. Army officials say the program gives the company a chance to attract qualified workers once they are out of uniform. A veteran would be guaranteed a job interview with the company.

NPC currently does a large amount of printing work for the U.S. government, some of which requires workers to have a military clearance. An ARMY spokesman says oftentimes that veterans already have those clearances in place.
