WISE Women of Blair County is pleased to announce that they are seeking applications for scholarship assistance. One or more scholarships will be awarded up to a total of $12,000.
Scholarships will be available to Blair County resident females 21 years of age or older who have overcome adversity in their lives and who are pursuing post-secondary education.
WISE Women of Blair County is the successor organization of the Altoona YWCA. WISE stands for Women Involved in Scholarship and Empowerment. The mission of the organization is to empower women and to eliminate racism through collaboration, service, and education. The mission is fulfilled by providing scholarships, awarding grants, and recognizing outstanding women in our community through the annual Tribute dinner.
