Our Meet the Birds of Prey shows are one of our most popular Meet the Creek programs. From April through November, visit the Shaver’s Creek Raptor Center between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday for an up-close introduction to some of our birds of prey. Volunteers will bring some of our hawks, eagles, and owls out of their cages and answer your questions about these fascinating creatures. Thanks to the support of our membership, there is no cost for these programs. No registration is necessary.

Enjoy the spring wildflowers while learning about their curious adaptations for survival. How do they compete, repel grazers and protect their seeds/fruit? Find out on this fun walk. Meet at Wentz Education Center. Program from 2:30-3:30 pm.

Petersburg Vol Fire co will be holding the great game of BINGO. Come join us at the Petersburg Fire hall in Petersburg PA for a fun night of BINGO. Doors open at 5 and BINGO starts at 6:30. We play regular, specials, quickie, shaded triangle, 777 Jackpot, Etc. A chance of winning $777.00 in our jackport every Wednesday night. Please come join us at the fire hall.

Step into the enchanted world of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. Featuring songs from the Academy-Award winning animated feature, this stage version includes music by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.

Your audiences will be transported to the heart of provincial life in a lovely French town. When Maurice becomes lost in the woods on the way to the fair, he seeks shelter in an old castle, but the master of the castle is a horrible beast that takes him captive. Maurice’s daughter, Belle, must then give up her freedom to save his life. Belle’s taming of the unfortunate Beast and his ultimate transformation back into a handsome prince is a beloved fairy tale about very different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love.

This “tale as old as time” is filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities. Even more simply staged, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. offers students a great introduction to musical theatre, using familiar songs and characters to guide them through their production.
